Central Cee Links Up With Coca-Cola for New Track “The Team”

West London rapper Central Cee has teamed up with Coca-Cola for “The Team,” a new track created as the soundtrack to the 2026/27 Premier League season.

Released on August 18, the song forms part of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar’s new “Taste Every Second” campaign, connecting football, music and youth culture around the emotional highs and lows of following a Premier League club.

“The Team” arrives as the new Premier League season gets underway, with Central Cee providing the musical centerpiece for a campaign built around the experience of being a football supporter. The song explores the anticipation before kickoff, the tension during a match, the disappointment of defeat and the euphoria that comes with a big win.

The collaboration also comes with a two-minute campaign film featuring Central Cee. The visual follows the emotional journey of a Premier League season, moving from preseason optimism through match-day nerves and late-game drama before arriving at the excitement of the final day.

For Central Cee, the partnership represents another crossover between UK rap and football culture. The West London artist has long been associated with the worlds of music, fashion and sport, making him a natural choice for a campaign aimed at connecting with younger football fans.

The rapper has also spoken about his own relationship with football while discussing the track. Rather than presenting himself as a professional player, Central Cee focused on the energy surrounding the game and the atmosphere created by supporters.

That idea sits at the heart of “The Team.” The track is built around the unconditional loyalty that football fans have toward their clubs, regardless of whether their team is competing for trophies or fighting to avoid relegation. Coca-Cola describes the campaign as an attempt to capture the full emotional journey of a Premier League season.

Produced by P-rallel, “The Team” also gives Central Cee an opportunity to approach his sound from a different angle. The song incorporates football-focused lyrics while retaining the rapper’s recognizable style, creating a record designed to work beyond traditional hip-hop audiences.

The track was released under Central Cee’s Live Yours imprint through Columbia Records alongside Coca-Cola’s real thing records label. Coca-Cola launched the label in 2025 as part of its broader involvement in music and culture.

The partnership extends beyond the song itself. Coca-Cola’s “Taste Every Second” campaign includes limited-edition Coca-Cola Zero Sugar packaging, fan activations, collectibles and football-related promotions scheduled to run throughout the season.

The collaboration highlights the increasingly blurred line between UK rap and football culture. Both have become major parts of Britain’s youth culture, while artists such as Central Cee have increasingly become global figures capable of moving between music, fashion, sport and major commercial campaigns.

With “The Team,” Central Cee isn’t simply releasing another single. He’s providing a soundtrack for one of the UK’s biggest cultural events, giving the new Premier League season a UK rap voice from the moment supporters return to the stands.

As the football season develops, “The Team” will remain connected to Coca-Cola’s campaign and its attempt to capture every emotional stage of supporting a club — from the optimism of August to the pressure and excitement that arrives when the season reaches its climax.
